Proctorville Prides Itself On School District's Success
Proctorville, Ohio -- The
If you're looking for excellence, you'll find it in Proctorville. The small town is home to about 621 people, but it has some big accomplishments. The Fairland School District has been rated excellent on the annual school district and school building report card for four of the last five years.
If knowing that a child's education will be guided by a mentoring system that will strive for the best is not enough, then explore the welcoming community where unique businesses can be found and higher education also is available.
The Ohio University Proctorville Center also has proved to be a great asset to the area. So much so that a new center is being built to better accommodate students, add more classes, provide a commons room for community events and a small-business incubator room that will be provided as a temporary location for new businesses to use while getting their own locations together. That center is expected to be complete within a year's time.
Dogs and cats can be groomed from head to paw at the Royal Paws Bowtique, and other animals can be seen and showcased at the Lawrence County Fair, which makes for a vibrant week.
If checking out remodeled cars fascinates you, a shiny glimpse of an old beauty won't be hard to catch. Residents regularly ride around town driving their elaborately decorated antiques, including a 1935 Chevrolet and other antique wheels that car lovers have not been able to part with.
The community is certain even more great events and businesses will come to the area with the help of new businesses, jobs and more educated students.
