Huntington projects a renewed vitality that is reflected in the diversity of the businesses located in the area. Residents and visitors find a welcoming, thriving region defined by a mix of industry, professional offices, restaurants, malls and specialty shops.
The ambiance of the various stores in downtown Huntington provides a shopping experience that enjoyable and convenient. The area offers a variety of boutiques and specialty shops – some new and some that have been in business for more that 50 years. From one of the region's premier men’s clothiers to designer women’s apparel and luxurious jewelry stores, the downtown has something for everyone.
The biggest news to come out of downtown Huntington in the last 25 years is Pullman Square, a $54 million retail project that recently opened to the public. The open-air mall offers residents a unique shopping experience with retail shops well as dining and entertainment opportunities. Pullman Square is currently home 16-screen ultra-modern movieplex, Empire Books, Merle Norman, Startbacks, Moe’s Southwestern Grill, Max & Erma’s, Coldstone Creamery, the Funnybone Comedy Club and much more.
Shoppers can also spend a leisurely afternoon perusing the unique antique shops that comprise Old Central City along Adams Avenue and 14th Street West. Most shops in the area offer an array of antique furniture, china, glass, toys and numerous other intriguing knick Knacks. The shopping district also offers several sea seasonal attractions including a Farmer's Market the summer, a Fall Harvest Day in October, a Veteran's Parade in November and a charming "Christmas in Old Central City" during the holiday season.
Huntington is centrally-located within 15 miles of the three large shopping malls. While there are some stores common to all three malls, there are many unique shops at each location that offer a broad range of merchandise and services.
The Huntington Mall Complex, located at the Barboursville exit off 1-64, is the largest mall in West Virginia with over 150 stores including Macy's Department Store, JCPenney Department Store and Walmart Superstore. The expansive mall also is home to numerous restaurants, fast food chains and several movie theaters.
It is a favorite destination for shoppers throughout the state of West Virginia. So, grab your wallet or purse, throw on a comfortable pair of shoes and shop til' you drop at one of the region's many stores.

Barboursville: "The Best Little Village In West Virginia." Despite the rapid growth and modernization, West Virginia's largest shopping complex, Huntington Mall, the village remains steadfastly proud of its heritage. It is this unique blend of historical, contemporary sites and quaint shops that make Barboursville a memorable stop for any visitor.

Downtown Huntington: From the river to the rails, 4th to 16th streets, you'll experience shopping as it was meant to be. Unique, quality merchandise, knowledgeable, friendly sales staffs, convenient parking, surrounded by dining and entertainment.

Merritt Creek Farm: Just north of I-64, off exit 18 in Barboursville. This brand new shopping complex includes a Target, Marshall's, and The Home Depot. Also is the location for the state's first freestanding Starbucks Coffee, as well as numerous other restaurants and retail shops.
Old Central City: West Huntington. Easy access to 14th St. West from I-64 Exit 6, Rt. 60 and Rt. 52 off 17th St. Bridge. Antiques, crafts, specialty shops, museums, florists, herbs and fast foods.
