Visitors to the Huntington region have a variety of unique attractions nearby to keep them busy throughout the year. From local museums to a turn-of-the-century amusement park, Huntington has something for everyone.
For the last 100 years, Camden Park, West Virginia's only amusement park, has been entertaining Tri-State residents with 24 rides, including a traditional wooden roller coaster and log flume ride. Games, concessions, full service cafeteria, miniature golf and picnic facilities are just some of the attractions.
At Heritage Farm Museum & Village, visitors can step back in time. The scenic farm in Wayne County preserves our Appalachian heritage and culture by showcasing the progress our hard working ancestors have made over the last century. Visitors can tour a one room schoolhouse, turn-of-the-century log church and old barns filled with unique displays that follow the evolution of the automobile, the washing machine and beyond.
The Huntington Museum of Art is a nationally acclaimed museum which features revolving exhibits. The complex includes 10 exhibition galleries, research library, sculpture garden, nature conservatory, trails and gift shop.
The former B&O Railway Station is now home to Heritage Village, an architectural award winning complex that includes a restaurant, authentic locomotive, a renovated Pullman Car, unique shops and a local bank once robbed by the infamous James-Younger Gang.
The Huntington region offers ideal conference and banquet facilities, including 2,200 rooms for visitors at such quality establishments as the Radisson Hotel, Comfort Inn & Suites, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Best Western and the Stone Lodge.

Arts & Culture
Fans of art and culture have a varied of concerts, plays and exhibits from which to choose in the Huntington region. From broadway to ballet, the arts community has it all.
Thanks to the Marshall Artists Series, Paramount Arts Center and other local venues, world-renown entertainers visit
the region regularly. The London City Opera, The Shanghai Ballet, Sesame Street Live, Kid Rock, Lynard Skynard and Ashanti, are all recent performers to take to local stages.
Lovers of live drama can choose from outdoor productions to professional theater thanks to the efforts of Marshall University Theatre, the Musical Arts Guild, Children's Theater, Musical Arts Guild, Huntington Outdoor Theatre and many other groups.
Broadway musicals often visit the Huntington region as guests of the acclaimed Marshall Artists Series.
Classical music has a home in the community with the Huntington Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra is supported by many Marshall University Department of Music professors who practice what they teach.
As the largest museum in the region, the Huntington Museum of Art presents world-class exhibits and sponsors numerous educational workshops and classes. The museum also boasts West Virginia's first and only plant conservatory. It is regarded as one of the finest small museums in the nation.
The Birke Art Gallery at Marshall University presents a number of exhibits each year in addition to conducting lectures and symposiums.
The Marshall Artist Series has featured such performers as Bill Cosby, Bob Fosse, and Marcel Marceau in the past. In addition, the artist series has presented such Broadway plays as "Rent", "Saturday Night Fever," "Titanic," Ragitime" and more. It also hosts an International Film Festival each spring and fall.
The Paramount Arts Center in Ashland, Ky. is home to a wide variety of great performers including Loretta Lynn, Patty Loveless and Linda Ronstadt. The Paramount has hosted numerous Broadway hits.
Marshall University Theatre at the Joan C. Edwards Fine and Performing Arts Center presents traditional and- modern theatrical productions year-round.
Marshall's Department of Music hosts events that range from student and faculty recitals to symphony performances. The department includes University Chorus and Choral Union featuring singers from Marshall and the community.
Huntington Outdoor Theatre presents outdoor musicals during summer months at the Ritter Park Amphitheater. Past productions have included "The Sound of Music," "Guys and Dolls" and "Oklahoma!"
The cultural choices in the Huntington region are as rich and varied as the landscape, so turn off the television and make plans for a stroll through a local museum or an evening out on the town.
